The 1969 COPO Camaro was an understated hi-performance car. It's plain appearance was very deceptive to the performance that it delivered.
Here are some of the features:
Special order 427 cubic inch engine
Air Breathing hood with built in sealed plenum chamber and throttle operated solenoid valve.
Close ratio 4-speed transmission or available TurboHydraMatic 3-speed automatic transmission with column shifter or with the extra cost center console and floor mounted shifter (some models)
Positraction rear end with 4.10:1 rear axle ratio, or optional 4.56:1 rear gears.
Power front disc brakes with steel wheels or optional rally wheels.
These COPO Camaros were available in a wide variety of colors and extra cost options such as RS.
